About Me
I am a multidisciplinary designer interested in the future of technology and how we will experience it.
I studied Architectural Design at City College of San Francisco before transferring to San Francisco State University where I studied Visual Communications Design. While there I focused my studies on Interaction & UX Design. As part of the curriculum, I had the opportunity to explore Virtual Reality and Game Design, which have become central to my practice. The future of technology has been a deep interest of mine since I was young and I believe strongly that AR & VR are central to the future of computing, and I want to be a part of it.
Since Autumn 2020 I have been part of a National Science Foundation-funded study looking at how we might use Virtual Reality to augment remote meetings by giving what we dub “social superpowers.” My role has been that of a designer, prototyper, and researcher as we explore and ideate ways to balance conversation and manage time beyond the traditional ways of doing so. We had a paper accepted to CHI 2021’s Social VR workshop and are currently working on several for publishing this Fall.
I am also an avid cyclist and traveler. I've been fortunate enough to race bicycles all over the world and experience some truly magical places. Off the bike, I've traveled across three continents having adventures ranging from almost getting stuck in a blizzard in the Andes to navigating Istanbul & exploring the Taksim district when previous plans fell through. You can follow my adventures on Instagram.
