Inclusive Prosperity Fund Website
Problem
CPLC’s Inclusive Prosperity Fund aims to stabilize and enhanced inventories of affordable housing, minimize economic dislocation and create stronger economies in BIPOC communities by transforming the way institutional capital flows to these communities but needs a strong digital presence to help raise awareness and support their mission.
Design Solution
A website that is mission-focused, driving home “The Why” in order to get buy-in from potential investors and partners as well as the community at large. Secondarily, make it easy for each stakeholder (or potential stakeholder) to find what parts of the site are relevant to them.
Audience
In interviewing key stakeholders at the Inclusive Prosperity Fund and Chicanos Por La Causa, I was able to determine the main audiences were investors, philanthropic organizations, and potential investments. We mapped out the motivations and potential concerns of each group. From that, it was determined that investors and philanthropic organizations shared a lot in common with the potential investments having different concerns. Armed with information this I created two personas to help guide the next parts of the process.
Johann
A 55-year-old investor who has done well for themselves in real estate development. As they eye retirement within a decade they’ve come to want to do some good in the world and have taken a more active interest in investing in affordable
housing development.
Goals
To make a positive social impact with his investments.
Pain Points
Finding funds that align with his goals.
Raquel
A 24-year-old Affordable Housing Advocate who works for a Bay Area non-profit. They recently graduated from Berkeley and live in Oakland with four roommates. They love their job because they feel they are making a positive difference in the world.
Goals
Find investments for her organization’s affordable housing projects.
Pain Points
Navigating criteria for investment from different investment organizations.
Final Deliverables
After sketching and wireframing a working prototype was created with Adobe XD for user testing. After receiving feedback on the digital prototype further refinement was made to the design mostly around the wording of specific sections.
The primary final deliverable is a multipage website design and information architecture that is ready to be implemented by a web developer. This includes ready to export assets and artboards done in Adobe XD as well as a prototype to allow the developer to better understand the interactions.
